San Antonio, Tx – The Tigers take their show on the road to the Alamo city, eager to taste some fresh meat. The Tigers found themselves getting a belly full of it, the new competition was a challenge and the results were what the Tigers were looking for. Playing in the last game on Sunday is always a welcome result. Along the way the Tigers played some great baseball against the SABA Rhinos Orange and the Longhorns. Unable to hang on against the ST Young Guns the weekend finally came to an end. Alas, the Tigers had a great time in the Alamo City.

The Tigers had a great outing at Disch-Faulk and watched the Horns beat a good Texas St team 6-1. Thanks to Olivia and Tony for organizing this fun time during the Tiger's Spring Break

The tigers opened the 2012 campaign with lots of anticipation, some new faces, some doubts and lots of questions. Flower Mound, Tx. The Tigers spend the week in the Metroplex, go 5-1-1 for the week. Along the way the Tigers play good baseball, create new friends and make some memories. Count the Pro Source A's, the Airhogs, the McKinney Vipers, the Dallas Patriots and the DBAT Mustangs as part of defeated group that doesn't want any part of the Tigers, the only negative mark for the week belonged to Colleyville Cougars, who I'm sure the Tigers would love to face again. The baseball was good, the pin trading, the swimming pool and the long nights sharing stories with the parents, it was all fun.
The Tigers now look forward to some much deserved time off to recharge the batteries, fall baseball will be here before you know it.

Brenham, Tx. The Tigers returned to familiar territory, the last game on Sunday. This time it was in the baseball haven of Brenham, where the Super Series South Texas American Championships were held. Much like previous years the Tigers always do well at State. During 7U the Tigers won it all in La Porte, last year at 8U the Tigers finished in 3rd place, fast forward to this year the Tigers found themselves in the championship game. Unfortunately the results were not what the Tigers were after, but the nice silver rings we got somehow where worth the trouble. Congrats to the 12 Maroon who played like champions.

Taylor, Tx. Well I'm Back, Well I'm Back in black, yes I'm Back, Yes I'm Back in Black-AC/DCAfter multiple 2nd place finishes the Tigers finally overcame their opponents and ended the drought to claim the the title in Taylor. The tournament held many challenges for the Tigers, multiple close games, crawling back in the final innings to keep advancing.
14 teams entered the tournament and only 1 lay standing in the end. On Saturday the Tigers defeated their pool play opponents to lay claim to the top seed. On Sunday their first come from behind victory happened against the 12 Maroon, the Tigers then defeated the Havok in the semi-final game. In the Championship game the Tigers defeated the Mojo in the final inning to complete the 5 game sweep. It was a complete team effort, pitching, defense and hitting.
In the process the Tigers got bumped from the Minors division to the American division of Super Series Baseball. It's a proud accomplishment to be counted amongst the top teams around.

Round Rock, Tx. In a familiar sight, Rick Stevens, Blue Diamond Tournament Director, handing out trophies in the last game on Sunday. The results are getting a little old, 2nd place again. The team is starting to think our name is the Tigers 2. Someone said it was better to have loved and lost, than not loved at all. Well, it's better to play in the ship and lose than not make the ship at all. And according to Scotty, 2nd place is like kissing your sister. On Saturday the Tigers defeated their pool play opponents, the NG Rangers and the Victoria Jaguars to lay claim to the 2nd seed on Sunday. The first game on Sunday was an outstanding come from behind victory, making up a 3 run deficit in our last at bat with 2 outs. Credit many Tigers with never giving up and Big Tank for the cluch line drive that scored the winning run and a chance at the big trophy.
In the finals, the Tigers could not keep pace with Team Elite, it was a close ballgame but not meant to be, the Tiger bats went silent and could not produce that Tiger roar. However, it's still early in the spring season and the Tigers have shown that they're ready for the competition. The next event is in 2 weeks, with a bigger field of teams, stay tuned...

Cedar Park, Tx. The Tigers, hungry and looking for a strong finish to the fall season took one last shot at glory. After struggling on Saturday, the Tigers came out roaring on Sunday morning, defeating their first two opponents by a combined score of 30-2 and charging into the championship game. The Tigers battled the SW Diablos in the finale, only to come up 1 run short of victory. The Tigers finish the fall season with 3 finals appearances, succumbing in all 3 games for 2nd place finishes. Their fall season sets up the spring season and the Tigers look forward to the challenges that wait for them.
